Statement on Litterless Lunch Challenge Winner

I rise today to announce the winner of my third annual Litterless Lunch Challenge. The challenge, which I hold each year in my riding during Waste Reduction Week, encourages students to pack litter-free lunches. This year, over 50 classes from 10 schools participated, including the entire staff at School District 43.

And this year's winning class – which went 91% litter-free – comes from Riverview Park Elementary. Congratulations to Ms. Allen and Ms. Donnelly's grade 3/4 class!

And congratulations to all the students, teachers and parents who made this year’s challenge another success. You did a great job, and I hope you will continue to reduce waste all year long.
