Community Seminar - Disability Tax Credit Information Session

In our community, hundreds of people with disabilities are still uncertain about whether they are eligible for important tax credits; tax credits which could result in a significant refund. My office wants to make sure that every eligible resident in our community knows how to access this tax refund. To that end, we are off offerring workshops to assist people in taking advantage of the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). The DTC can be claimed retroactively for up to 10 years.

While the Income Tax Act stipulates that this is a non-refundable tax credit, it is transferable to spouses and other family members if the disabled person’s income is too low.

I invite you to join me, and my federal NDP colleague Peter Julian, Member of Parliament for Burnaby-New Westminster, at the upcoming seminar:

Saturday, April 6 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Century House Seniors Centre (620 Eighth Street). The Century House Seniors Centre is wheelchair accessible.
